A Very Sad Birthday

While baking a cake for Nash's birthday, Chad was called to the other side.

He sadly never finished his aspiration of becoming fabulously wealthy.

Carissa pleaded with the grim reaper but was denied.

Meanwhile, the grim reaper headed upstairs to converse with the birthday boy,

The grieving widow still managed to finish baking his birthday cake. Little Nash had no idea what had just happened.

Nash grew into an equally adorable child.

Poor Carissa was so worn out. While all of this went down, Elle and Kade were out on a crime spree.

The next morning, Nash woke up early to do some homework. He felt like his little brother's bed (while his little brother slept in it) would be the best spot.

Since Nash's aspiration was to become a social butterfly, he headed down the clubhouse to meet some new people.

Carissa carried on, putting her emphasis into work and her paintings. She still took turns with Elle and Kade on taking care of Jett.

Soon Elle discovered baby # 3 was on the way.

Even with Chad gone, the house was full of lots of adventures. The 3 bathrooms were really helpful. (How did Lily manage with only 1?)

Perhaps modeling is in Jett's future.

The Blue's were excellent at multi-tasking. Brushing your teeth after eating? Pfft. Brushing your teeth while eating.

When not in class, Nash was at the clubhouse. He saw his aunt and uncle quite frequently.

He also met another Sim his age, Asa.

The took lots of selfies.

Lots.

Nash was hoping they would be able to call each other BFFs very soon.

Jett was an adorable, very high energy, toddler.

And we'll end this chapter on that note.

The Toddler Life

Nash grew into an extremely cute toddler looking more and more like his father.

How cute!

Kade's got some strong genes.

One of the adults made sure to read him to sleep every night.

They also took turns teaching him all of the important skills
.

And sharing some very yummy food.

After a very satisfying pee, Elle discovered she was pregnant with baby #2.

More confetti.

Kade seemed pretty stoked to be a father again.

He loved spending time with Nash.

Chad was empathetic with Elle's backaches. When he wasn't working, he was busy writing stories. He needed all the royalties he could get. Between work, book royalties, and his stock investments Chad was three-forths of the way to becoming fabulously wealthy.

Meanwhile, Carissa painted. Her paintings sold for about $200 each which helped her inch closer to also becoming fabulously wealthy.

(Look how cute Nash is.)

Soon Elle went into labor.

This time she opted for a home birth.

Jett joined the family.

(Just another cute picture of Kade and Nash. Someone may have forgotten to take more baby pictures of Jett.)

Soon it was Jett's turn to become a toddler. Look at that hair!

Again, the family members took turns teaching Jett all of the important skills.

The two little boys sure did enjoy babbling to each other;.

The entire family (including the ghosts) enjoyed late night dinners.

Everything was going well in the Blue family..and there hadn't been any recently skipped birthdays either!

....

I first thought the fabulously wealthy aspiration was going to be simple. I'm wondering if I chose the wrong career path for Chad and Carissa. Business seemed like the smart option. Chad chose the stockbroker side and Carissa management. Chad can make quite a bit of money with his investments but I'm still on three-fourths of the way and I know Chad probably doesn't have much longer. (I don't think he's going to take after Emery there.) I'm so tempted to increase the lifespans...but I won't.
Side note: I just went with the hair that the game picked for Nash and Jett.

Even Death Can't Resist Mac and Cheese

Unfortunately, it was Emery's time.

He was at least 120, although probably much older.

It took a while for the family to properly react (thank you Kade for having the correct first emotion.)

The family (minus Carissa) gathered around as Emery made his transition from Sim to ghost.

Chad did try to persuade the grim reaper to re-think.

He was denied.

The grim reaper did partake in some Mac and Cheese afterwards though. Even death can't resist mac and cheese.

Even with the sad mood, Mila celebrated her birthday.

(Again, think how sad she would have been if her birthday was missed.)

Unfortunately, Chad's birthday was missed instead.

This definitely didn't help improve his mood.

Nor did the backache.

Kade tried to reassure his father-in-law. It was equally awkward for everyone.

Meanwhile, Elle had a sneaking suspicion.

The confetti made it quite apparent...

...there was a baby on the way.

Cake always smells better when you're pregnant.

Poor Iain mourned his grandfather.

While Elle took muli-tasking to the next level. Pancakes and paying bills.

Mila decided to follow her parents and joined the business career path. (It's obvious how her first day went.)

Elle continued to eat (and pee) a lot.

Emery in ghost form visited the family often.

Finally, the initial sadness from Emery's passing faded and the family started to be in much better moods.

Elle enjoyed showing strangers her baby bump...

...and was in mid conversation with one when she went into labor.

Elle, enjoying conflict, politely waited for Iain and the strange woman to finish their argument...

...before she actually reacted to the contractions.

Since she had sold the family bassinet during her remodel, she was forced to go to the hospital to deliver.

She shortly returned feeling relieved. So much lighter!

*Confetti*

Baby Nash was now part of the family.

*Awwwww*

Chad was still alive and still working on becoming fabulously wealthy.

Kade was naturally a great father.

It's pretty apparent that Nash took after him.

Another birthday was forgotten. Sorry Carissa.

So they made sure to have a cake for Iain!

Officially an adult. Queue the excitement. It was now time for Iain and his sister to launch.

....

Wait, is this a pregnant townie?

There are so many changes since I've last played. Like toddlers. That one is huge. In the game Nash it currently a toddler so I'm learning all about them. I'm really hoping this is a pregnant townie. My issue with Sims 4 is the lack of story progression for NPCs and sims I move out of the household. I know there is a mod to fix it - I used to have it pre-multiple-system crashes -- but I would love it to just happen naturally in the base game.
