Even Death Can't Resist Mac and Cheese

Unfortunately, it was Emery's time.

 He was at least 120, although probably much older.

 It took a while for the family to properly react (thank you Kade for having the correct first emotion.)

 The family (minus Carissa) gathered around as Emery made his transition from Sim to ghost.

Chad did try to persuade the grim reaper to re-think.

He was denied.

The grim reaper did partake in some Mac and Cheese afterwards though. Even death can't resist mac and cheese.

Even with the sad mood, Mila celebrated her birthday.

(Again, think how sad she would have been if her birthday was missed.)

Unfortunately, Chad's birthday was missed instead.

This definitely didn't help improve his mood.

Nor did the backache.

Kade tried to reassure his father-in-law. It was equally awkward for everyone.

Meanwhile, Elle had a sneaking suspicion.

The confetti made it quite apparent...

...there was a baby on the way.

Cake always smells better when you're pregnant.

Poor Iain mourned his grandfather.

While Elle took muli-tasking to the next level. Pancakes and paying bills.

 Mila decided to follow her parents and joined the business career path. (It's obvious how her first day went.)

Elle continued to eat (and pee) a lot.

Emery in ghost form visited the family often.

Finally, the initial sadness from Emery's passing faded and the family started to be in much better moods.

Elle enjoyed showing strangers her baby bump...

...and was in mid conversation with one when she went into labor.

Elle, enjoying conflict, politely waited for Iain and the strange woman to finish their argument...

...before she actually reacted to the contractions.

Since she had sold the family bassinet during her remodel, she was forced to go to the hospital to deliver.

She shortly returned feeling relieved. So much lighter!

*Confetti*

Baby Nash was now part of the family.

*Awwwww*

Chad was still alive and still working on becoming fabulously wealthy.

Kade was naturally a great father.

It's pretty apparent that Nash took after him.

Another birthday was forgotten. Sorry Carissa.

So they made sure to have a cake for Iain!

Officially an adult. Queue the excitement. It was now time for Iain and his sister to launch.

 Wait, is this a pregnant townie?

There are so many changes since I've last played. Like toddlers. That one is huge. In the game Nash it currently a toddler so I'm learning all about them. I'm really hoping this is a pregnant townie. My issue with Sims 4 is the lack of story progression for NPCs and sims I move out of the household. I know there is a mod to fix it - I used to have it pre-multiple-system crashes -- but I would love it to just happen naturally in the base game.

Makeover Time

It was time for the Blue house to expand. The idea of literally changing the home to blue was toyed with, but it remained the pink hue that Lily had preferred.

The floor plan was extended though. Another bathroom and bedroom were added upstairs.

While the kitchen and living room were completely remodeled with newer appliances and electronics. Although the decor remained unchanged.

Finally, some personal touches were added to the resting spots of Lily, Wade, and Fawn.

This took Elle closer to completing the next step of her aspiration. She would just need to wait for a few more paychecks to add in more furniture and to landscape.

After an exhausting day of remodeling, Elle invited a former-high school acquaintance out clubbing.

Elle got her flirt on.

I think this face deserves a close up.

It seemed to work for Kade though.

Cute flirting.

First kiss.

Random heart overhead.

 Random break-off into a very large group conversation.

*Wait I need some one-on-one time so I can officially call this a cold medal date!*

Officially boyfriend and girlfriend now since they've almost officially had 1 date.

Finally, the gold medal success they were looking for.

Without hesitation, Elle invited Kade over the next morning and of course she asked him to move in. They didn't hesitate for a little 'woo hoo' in Chad and Carissa's bed.

While all of the attention was on Elle and Kade, the other members of the Blue family were still alive. Iain had picked up a weekend job of doing lawn care...

...while Mila followed in Elle's foot steps and babysat. They were both solid C students.

Emery was still enjoying retirement and spending time with his grandchildren.

Finally, Chad and Carissa were still busy making money to fill their aspirations. Obviously way too busy to be photographed.

Outtake 1: Kade's farts are apparently musical. He and Elle are both on the criminal career path. His aspiration is to become a criminal mastermind so it just seemed fitting. Elle had already settled on that career prior to dating Kade since it went well with her materialistic wants and her kleptomania.

Outtake 2: Chad is obviously too busy to even cook. He prefers to just eat air. (That's a fork in his right hand and his hunger bar is filling up.) Chad decided on the stock-trader branch of the business career. He is less than 5k away from the next ranking of being fabulously wealthy. This aspiration is taking longer than expected.

About 2 weeks after this picture was taken I randomly did a quick spin and a swaddled baby girl appeared in my arms. There was lots of confetti naturally. I also instantly went back to a size 4.

Anyway, I'm back in the Sim world finally! I'm taking advantage of nap times to get some playtime in.

So here is where we left off:

Elle stole the heir poll. The sweet Mila and the charming Iain were left in the dust. 

The classy teen split her time between being a high school student and babysitting on the weekend. Morning person, business savvy, physically gifted, foodie, kleptomaniac...I mean which trait wouldn't you want in a babysitter?

Let's be honest, morning people aren't that bad.

A year had randomly passed for the Blue family. They all stood outside of their house a bit disoriented. Wasn't it time for work and school?

The future family leader, Elle was unconcerned.

 Never pass up a good selfie opportunity.

Once they took a few potty breaks and got reoriented, the teens all went their separate ways to knock out their homework.

Afterwards they blew off some steam by working out. They were all physically gifted of course.

Meanwhile, Chad was continuing to work on becoming fabulously wealthy. Between work and his other financial endevors, he did occasionally socialize with the family ghosts.

Carissa was trying her hand at self-publishing to earn her share of Simoleons.

While Emery helped train Iain.

*Insert hand pun here*

Soon it was time to celebrate Elle's transition into adulthood.

The Blue family had their first gold medal birthday party for this generation.

..with a good share of (magically cleans itself up) confetti.

Elle slept soundly that night...dreaming of the big change she was about to make.
